Farmingdale High School celebrated Black History Month last night with an event hosted by R.E.A.L. Harmony that recognized and celebrated the central role that black Americans have played in the history of the United States. The program included student performances in various artistic mediums, including songs, skits, dance, and poetry readings. The Steppin' Dalers also performed one of their routines.
The R.E.A.L. Harmony club promotes ethnic and multicultural awareness and diversity at Farmingdale High School. The R.E.A.L. stands for Respect- Education- Awareness- Love. The advisors of R.E.A.L Harmony are Aliya Ladha-Jivarj and Cynthea Conway.
