The Broadway Education Alliance & Disney Theatricals have unveiled the 2024 lineup of students nominated for the 14th annual Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance.

Sophomore William Herbert from Farmingdale High School has progressed to the next stage as one of fifty students chosen from New York for Outstanding Performer in a Musical. William's portrayal of Ren McCormack in Footloose stood out, earning him a commendable nomination from Playcrafers director Jessica Mischke. He will have coaching sessions with professionals, and based on that, the judges will select the Top 12 live at the Roger Rees Awards Showcase on Sunday, May 19th, in New York City.

In addition, sophomore Devin Williams has been recognized with the New Faces Honors for Excellence in Solo Performance. Devin's recognition is a notable achievement and a true reflection of his talent and dedication to his craft. Devin was nominated by Playcrafters director Glen Beck.

Congratulations to both William and Devin on their well-earned nominations! Playcrafters Directors Jessica Mischke and Glen Beck, along with the entire Daler community, are brimming with pride at these remarkable accomplishments. Best of luck to both young performers as they continue to shine in the theater world.
