Three talented artists from Farmingdale High School, Dakota Capolino, Kira Moscoso, and LiBretto, were recently showcased at the Nassau County Museum of Art. Hosted by the Manes Peace Prize Foundation on May 4, 2024, this event honored high school students from Nassau County. Each student received a $1000 scholarship and had the opportunity to compete for an additional $5000 grand prize in a juried exhibit. Despite the intense competition, the judges split the grand prize between two deserving students. One of the recipients was Dakota Capolino from Farmingdale, known for her emotionally resonant artwork, particularly her piece Self Hatred. We are incredibly proud of these talented artists and their AP Art & Design achievements, all guided by Ms. Gramarossa. Congratulations to Dakota, Kira, and LiBretto for their recognition and success.
