More Cheerleading Honors for Farmingdale

Farmingdale High School Competitive Cheerleading Coach Caitlin Weinsheimer has been named Nassau County Coach of the Year by Newsday. During her first full year as coach, the Farmingdale competitive cheer team earned the New York State Large Division I state title and the Nassau County Large Division I crown.

Three Farmingdale cheerleaders were also recognized as the best on Long Island. Diana Maughan made All-Long Island Cheerleading Team One, and Morgan Garraway and Paige Maughan made All-Long Island Second Team.

“It is such an honor to be named Nassau County Coach of the Year and to have three of my extremely talented and dedicated seniors recognized as the best on Long Island,” said Coach Weinsheimer.
