Thespians Receive Top Honors in Monologue Competition

On Saturday, March 5th, six students from Glen Beck’s theater class at Farmingdale High School entered Nassau Community College’s annual Monologue Competition. The performers competed against other high schools with solid theater programs such as Long Island High School of the Arts, Holy Trinity, and Deer Park.

Three Dalers took home honors. In the 9-10th grade category, Alexa Nazario won first place, and Robert Silverstein won second place. Isabella Winter was awarded third place in the 11-12th grade category.

The Monologue Competition is sponsored by the Department of Theater and Dance at Nassau Community College. The Department of Theater and Dance provides enriched curricula for students enrolled in its discrete Associate in Arts degree programs: Acting, Dance, and Technical Theater.
