On Sunday, October 9, 2022, over seventy members of Team Farmingdale participated in the Autism Speaks Walk at Jones Beach. Students, families, and staff members came together to support this great cause and raise over ten thousand dollars for Autism research.

“I could not be prouder to be part of such an incredible organization that never fails to come together as a family to support each other and our students,” said Preschool/Primary Special Education Chairperson Gina Callesano. “ Thank you all again for making this event a true success.”

A special thank you goes to the walk Committee who worked to make the event possible. SEPTA, Mrs. Gaghan, the JV Cheerleaders, and Dale, who came out to cheer on the team. Kylie Halpin, at the High School, designed the shirt. Local 15 generously donated, Michael at Premier Tents for donating a tent, Chris at Dunkin Donuts in Farmingdale for the hospitality, Lenny at Downstream for printing the shirts, and Chris Hansen at Advanced Signs and Graphics for the beautiful Farmingdale sign.
