Three Farmingdale High School seniors—Reilly Agres, Erica Schmidgall, and Kelly Bergersen have been accepted as candidates in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2020 Students of the Year campaign¬—a philanthropic leadership development program for exemplary high school students. The Student of the Year title will be awarded to the candidate or co-candidates in each community who raise the most funds during a seven-week campaign that began on January 26, 2020 and culminates on March 11, 2020.

Funds are being raised during events in the FHS Commons and throughout the Farmingdale community. With the help of their lacrosse team, the three students are reaching for a $20,000 fundraising goal in honor of Bella Inzerillo, the five-year-old Farmingdale girl who passed away in 2019 after a long battle with Medulloblastoma.

Anyone wishing to help the girls reach their goal can make a donation on their website.
