Children's author Trudy Ludwig paid a visit to Woodward Parkway Elementary School last week. She is the author of The Invisible Boy, Confessions of a Former Bully, and My Secret Bully. She presented three assemblies—each designed for different grade levels.
Teachers like to use her books in their curriculum to supplement social-emotional learning, character education, and bullying prevention. During the presentations, Ms. Ludwig gave the children real-life suggestions on how to face a bully.
"Trudy's books are inspirational," said Principal Patrick Klocek. "It's a privilege to have her visit us here in Farmingdale."
