Working Together for Lifelong Success
Where your teen reads can affect comprehension. Suggest that your child read complex material in a quiet place with no distractions (TV, younger siblings). Sitting up instead of lounging on the bed may make it easier to focus, too.

LAUNCH Program
LAUNCH expanded on the successes of our POWER time model which provided informal help for students after school. Our intention in LAUNCH has been to empower students by providing them a welcoming, warm setting to appropriately and gently nudge them to seek the help they need. We aim to shift the attitude around the ways in which students receive and ask for help- help regarded as a negative need. What's been happening is that, quite inspiringly, transformative teacher-pupil and peer-to-peer connections are being cultivated. We are seeing kids, which, under conventional classroom circumstances, would never interact and build relationships. Now, in LAUNCH, the setting is ripe for students to work together, help one another and bridge all skill levels, grades and ages.
