Beginning this year, Farmingdale Schools has implemented Schoology, an integrated learning management solution that provides course management, mobile learning, and support for system-wide communication. As we progress with this new platform, Schoology will be our one-stop shop for students, teachers, parents, and administrators to access assignments, announcements, and assessments.
With Schoology, students can digitally submit homework assignments, collaborate on assignments with their peers, receive announcements and feedback, and take assessments. While there are a number of other functions, we are still outlining the full extent to which this new tool will be used and will continue to increase our use of it throughout the school year.
As a parent, you will be able to view your child’s activity within the platform. Today, you should have received an email from the district with information on your parent Schoology account. To access your account, click the link and login with the information provided.
Our hope is that Schoology will help to provide you with more information about your student’s coursework and act as a bridge for better communication between your child, the school, and your student’s teacher.
