The Farmingdale School District is planning an evening of healthy mind and body workshops on Wednesday, January, 22, 2020 at Weldon E. Howitt Middle School. The program—Healthy Habits for Well-Being—will include activities like yoga, meditation, drum circles, rock painting, and more. This is the district’s 5th annual event—sponsored by the Wellness Council.
“We’re encouraging our students and parents to unplug for a few hours and join us for a really fun evening,” said Dr. Joan Ripley, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. “All the activities we have planned are geared toward helping people create healthy habits that will last them a lifetime. It’s a great way for everyone to start the new year!”
The program will run from 6pm-8:15pm, with registration at 6pm and activities beginning at 6:30pm sharp. Free, healthy snacks will be provided. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
