Local Farm Delivers Fresh Produce to Farmingdale High School

Restoration Farm of Old Bethpage recently delivered a vibrant harvest of fresh potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, peppers, and eggplant directly to Farmingdale High School as part of the 2026-2027 school year cafeteria menu. This delivery was made possible by New York State’s 30% initiative, a cost-share program that reimburses school districts for sourcing at least 30% of their food products from New York farms. By bringing fresh ingredients from regional fields into student dining halls, the initiative establishes a direct link between local agriculture and public health.
